Our Fee Policy

One of the most frequent complaints made against accountancy firms is that their clients are not made aware, in advance, of the fees to be charged. As a result, they are often surprised – and disappointed - when they receive the fee note.

‘No Surprise’ fee policy

At D J Colom & Co, we operate a double-safeguard system to ensure that there are no nasty surprises when the bill is issued:

Firstly, the majority of work undertaken is covered by our Fixed Fee price list. In other words, you can see from the price list how much you will pay for most compliance work, such as preparing annual accounts or completing a tax return. If any work undertaken does not fall within our fixed fee price list, we will always provide you with a written quotation – and ask for your agreement – before any work is undertaken.

Secondly, we always stand by our quotes. Once we have given you a quote for the work we agree to do, you can rely on it 100%.  We’ll even allow you to pay us by monthly standing order if that suits you better.

Unlimited access and no additional charges for phone calls or meetings

Our Fixed Fee quotations entitle you to unlimited access to the entire team at D J Colom & Co for advice on ad-hoc matters. This means that you can call us at any time knowing that you will not be charged for the time or advice.

If the matters discussed lead to any additional work being done, we will provide a fixed price quotation before any work is started.
